Welcome to this series of Serious Gaming for Surgical Education

We hope this game will make learning more engaging and interactive and that it will support and evaluate your decision making skills you have already developed in the workplace or on courses. This series of SG includes cases covering some common surgical situations and should allow you to make decisions in a safe environment and receive feedback.

‘SG for Surgical Education’ has been developed in collaboration with Dr Vivekananda-Schmidt of the University of Sheffield, Adrian Cheang of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Royal College of Surgeons, with the support from the East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery (South). Funding for the development of game has been awarded by the Health Education England (HEE) Inspire Improvement Project, part of the HEE Better Training Better Care (BTBC) programme.
